Target Marketing Program

Increase floor traffic using manufacturer supplied mailing lists.

Issues

  • Manufacturer marketing departments provide list of names of current/past owners who, based on statistics, will be entering a 'trade cycle' for possibly another vehicle of the same class. Most dealers have no process in place for converting them into floor traffic.

Objectives

  • Convert these 'trade cycle' names into floor traffic for sales.
  • Takes little time on the part of the sales teams.

Target Marketing Program - Definition

Phone call solicitations to the list names determining their interest in possibly acquiring another vehicle in the near future.

The Strategy

  • You provide us with the list of 'trade cycle' names you would like us to contact. Note: Because of mailing list wrong numbers, and Do No Call Registry, the 'contactable' names is usually 50 to 75% of the original list that was provided.
  • The actual phone call solicitation focuses on determining the persons interest in exploring the possibility of acquiring a new vehicle in the near future for those that are interested.

The Reporting

At the end of each day's phone calling, you will receive a cumulative Daily Actions Report including names and phone numbers of those people called who:

  • Stated that they were interested in possibly acquiring a new vehicle in the near future.

The Mechanics

After Applied Concepts, Inc. receives the list manifest, it will be:

  • Washed against the Do Not Call Registry.
  • Called at least three times over various hours of the day.
  • Sent to you via Daily Action Reports.

Summary

We give no incentives to our surveyors for getting a prospect to say they desire contact from the dealership.

The Target Marketing Program's job is not to sell a car over the phone. It will, however, position the dealership sales consultant to make a phone call on a person who did express some interest.
